Have you been dreaming of this moment for the past 2 years?  Do you really want to give yourself a challenge?

We’ve got a crazy challenge that will take you to spectacular panoramas, give you incredible sensations and make good use of  your ski pass.  How would you feel if you skied to the 2 glaciers of Tignes and Val d’Isere in the same day?

over 150kms of ski runs in the same day

Make the most of your day and go from the Tignes Glacier “La Grande Motte” to Val d’Isère’s Glacier du Pisaillas and don’t forget to tag @lessuitesduyosemite for your posts on Instagram. We guarantee that you will see a lot of mountains and maybe your legs will be a bit wobbly in the evening, but no worries, a nice hot steam bath awaits at Les Suites du Yosemite to relax and renew.
Tignes to Val d’Isère Itinerary :

  • Take the button lift behind the Chalet Yosemite and then catch the Merles chairlift towards the Col du Palet….
  • Whizz down to Val Claret and catch the funicular or the Lanches chairlift to the Panoramic restaurant. From there, catch the Cable car to the top of the Glacier and take a selfie! Use the hashtag #lessuitesduyosemite to show us where you’ve been to the first Glacier and then return to Val Claret either via the Genepy piste or the longest run, M2.
  • From Val Claret, catch the Fresse chairlift towards Val d’Isère. Head to the Marmottes chairlift and ascend to the top of Rocher de Bellevarde. At the top, the choice is yours : take the super steep black piste (the famous olympic Face de Bellevarde) or take it “easy” via the Santons piste. At Val d’Isère, catch the luxury heated cable car Solaize to get to the Ouillette lake and from then on take the Glacier chairlift. You’re not there yet! Take a right and catch the reversible chairlift Leissieres towards the Glacier.
  • Descend the piste to the button lift, Col and then catch the chairlift Cascade. You’re finally on the Glacier of Val d’Isère! Don’t forget to tag us on Instagram with a selfie.

Now it’s time to head home…

Val d’Isère to Tignes itinerary :

  • It’s best to take the Leissières reversible chairlift back to Val d’Isère’s main valley. Then take the mythical Solaize piste back to the centre of Val d’Isère.
  • Hop on the Olympique cable car and head down on the Diebold or Marmotte piste. Go past La Folie Douce (or grab a glass of champagne) and catch the Tommeuses chairlift. You’re finally at the summit of Tignes and you can see home…
  • Take it easy and go back via the Henri piste, then catch the Tichot and Grattalu chairlifts over the col du Palet and back home via the Gentiane piste. Or, you could give it your best by taking the black piste down to the centre of Tignes and then hop on the Palafour or Almes chairlifts to take you to the Gentiane piste behind home.
